The Adults Are Speaking is the politics podcast aimed with the mission to cut down partisan fighting by encouraging adult conversations about the issues that impact people across political ideologies.
Hosted by Noah Hughey, the author of "Hanging in the Balance" and former host of the Under the Stars: With Noah Hughey podcast, this podcast aims to critically assess the very means with which we discuss politics through an academic lens while also humanizing its guests through the conversations it hosts.

The Adults Are Speaking joins a repertoire of online media aiming to having rational, good faith conversations that are key to understanding our politics without the pressure of trying to "own" the other side, and we couldn't be any more excited for it.
The Host
Noah Hughey is a North Carolina student, author, and political commentator born August 27th, 2003.

Hughey was the host of Under the Stars for 5 seasons from 2018-2022, and author of the books "Hanging in the Balance," (2022) "Broken America," (2020) and others, as well as many articles on his Medium blog. Hughey has been a contributing opinions writer for The GW Hatchet as well as the Niner Times.

Noah began his political journey staunchly conservative, hoping to spread and defend conservative ideology and the GOP online with his show. However, many factors, including exposure to new ideas and information as well as changes in his personal life led Noah to reevaluate what it means to be civically engaged, ultimately adopting a philosophy that the norms of politics themselves have become as dangerous as the outcomes they result in, turning into an outspoken unaffiliated critic of strict ideological affiliation and the American two-party system.
